Do Not Burn Yourself Out Helping People!
It has been proven time & again that interdependence is the highest level of development. Many things (even nature) thrive better on one or more mutual dependence. Consequently, we cannot escape having to help one another at different points in our lives.
However, helping somebody (whether of higher or lower status than us) shouldn’t be a disturbing issue. You’d probably have noticed that if something is really destined to happen, it doesn’t matter whether you play your role or not. If you do not help a particular individual, the person would end up being helped by another person. So, why sweat it! Do not crucify yourself down if you can’t help.
The easier way out is to politely let the person know that you regret that you can’t help him/her at that point in time due to personal reasons, especially if helping the person might cause you inconveniences that you really do not want to sacrifice.
In essence, never ever burn yourself out helping people. If you have to, do just what you can do with a pure self-less heart. It is your heart that matters.

Love & Charms
Real Love, Fake Love & ‘Love Portions’
About a few years back, where I was living, there was a public gossip that my brother is very handsome. A particular lady who just moved in started disturbing me that she wanted to meet my brother on that ground. At first, I took it as a compliment and I tried to get my brother to meet this enchanted damsel.
To my surprise, the lady kept asking for him as if it was a task to be completed. My brother also who used to frequent my place almost weekly did not come for months, till I left that place. The lady would utter words like, “AY, why are you hiding your brother from me? I just want to meet him, that’s all” or “why don’t you want me to meet your brother, do you think I can do anything to him?” I did not read any meaning to it.
About the time I left that house (I packed), she had a quarrel with some of her girls. That’s when we heard that they had a native doctor who made charms for them and the cause of the quarrel was that one of them took the other’s boyfriend.
Is it possible that she planned to charm my brother?
